- Chance to shoot a barrage of 5 tears.
- The initial tear in the barrage deals its full damage, and each subsequent tear will be smaller than the previous and deal less damage.
- Every tear in the barrage copies the properties and path of the first tear, including tear effects.
- Slightly scales with luck.
- Enemies killed by the barrage have a 5% chance to drop half a soul heart upon death.
- Unaffected by luck.
- This item belongs to the
Spode set. Collecting three (four in Andromeda's case) items from this set will transform Isaac into Spode when it is unlocked.

- The name Ophiuchus comes from an ancient Greek word meaning serpent-bearer.
- The purple shimenawa costume the item gives is a reference to Orochimaru from the anime series Naruto, who always wears a purple shimenawa as his belt.
