Spode is a transformation added in the Andromeda mod.
After picking up 3 (4 as 
Andromeda) Zodiac or Planetarium items, Isaac inherits the wisdom of the cosmos and grows a third eye (similar to Andromeda), loses his mouth, and grows squid limbs which allow him to levitate. Don't ask why.
The Spode transformation grants flight, -0.4 shot speed down, and every tear Isaac fires can spawn star tears which deal 1/4 of Isaac's damage but have homing, spectral, and inherit most of the player's tear effects.

- Spode is a reference to the game Spore, which is about creating a creature and bringing it from a single cell all the way to a sentient space-faring empire. In it there's a deity called Spode, which is thought to be the creator of all these creatures and everything in the universe.
- The transformation's appearance is also a reference to the very first creation made in Spore, known as the Debug Squid.
